煤炭对于现代化工业来说，无论是重工业，还是轻工业；无论是能源工业、冶金工业、化学工业、机械工业，还是轻纺工业、食品工业、交通运输业，都发挥着重要的作用，各种工业部门都在一定程度上要消耗一定量的煤炭，因此有人称煤炭是工业的“真正的粮食”。是十八世纪以来人类世界使用的主要能源之一。

无烟煤分类

      无烟煤按种类分为：粉煤、12块煤、25块煤、38块煤、中炭以及大炭，可根据客户不同锅炉、不同使用方法为客户推荐即适用又减少成本的种类。

无烟煤特点

      1、含碳量比较。生物质锅炉燃料颗粒含碳量较少，其中含碳量较高的也仅50％左右，相比燃煤锅炉热值较低。

      2、含氢量比较。生物质锅炉燃料颗粒含氢量稍多，挥发性明显较多，生物质中的碳多数和氢结合成低分子的碳氢化合物，到一定的温度后热分解而析出挥发分，所以生物质燃料易引燃。

      3、含氧量比较。生物质锅炉燃料颗粒含氧量多，其含氧量明显地多于煤炭，它使得生物质燃料热值低。

      4、密度比较。生物质燃料的密度小，明显的较煤炭低，质地比较疏松，易于燃尽，灰炭中残留的碳量比煤灰中的碳含量少。

      5、含硫琏比较。生物质燃料含硫墩低，大多小于0.12％，锅炉不必设置脱硫装置。

      6、生物质释放出的CO2很低，相比燃煤锅炉可以认为是CO2零排放。

      7、生物质燃烧后的灰渣可以制造化肥，废物可以循环利用，矿物燃料煤则难以做到。

      8、生物质可以与煤混合燃烧，提高燃烧效率。

      9、采用生物质燃烧可以实现生物质废物减量化、无害化、资源化利用。

无烟煤用途

      1、发电用煤:我国约1/3 以上的煤用来发电，目前平均发电耗煤为标准煤370g/(kW·h)左右。电厂利用煤的热值，把热能转变为电能。

      2、蒸汽机车用煤:占动力用煤2左右，蒸汽机车锅炉平均耗煤指标为100kg/(万吨·km)左右。

      3、建材用煤:约占动力用煤的l0以上，以水泥用煤量较大，其次为玻璃、砖、瓦等。

      4、一般工业锅炉用煤:除热电厂及大型供热锅炉外，一般企业及取暖用的工业锅炉型号繁多，数量大且分散，用煤量约占动力煤的30。

      5、生活用煤:生活用煤的数量也较大，约占燃料用煤的20。

      6、冶金用动力煤:冶金用动力煤主要为烧结和高炉喷吹用无烟煤，其用量不到动力用煤量的1。
