莫来石（或莫乃石）是一系列由铝硅酸盐组成的矿物统称，这一类矿物比较 。莫来石是铝硅酸盐在高温下生成的矿物，人工加热铝硅酸盐时会形成莫来石，天然的莫来石晶体为细长的针状且呈放射簇状，莫来石矿被用来生产高温耐火材料。

       莫来石是一种优质的耐火材料，它具有膨胀均匀、热震稳定性极好、荷重软化点高、高温蠕变值小、硬度大、抗化学腐蚀性好等特点，主要有高纯电熔莫来石、普通电熔莫来石、全天然铝矾土精矿烧结莫来石和轻烧莫来石。

       轻质莫来石骨料是利用天然铝矾土为原料，采用合理的工艺制得适用于1400-1500使用的高温轻质骨料。

Mullite is a kind of high quality refractory materials, it has the expansion uniformity, excellent thermal shock resistance, high load softening point, high temperature creep value is small, high hardness, good resistance to chemical corrosion, there are mainly high purity fused mullite, fused mullite sintered mullite, all natural bauxite concentrate and light mullite.

Manufacturing process: lightweight mullite aggregate is the use of natural bauxite as raw material, adopting reasonable technology was suitable for the high temperature of 1400-1500 using lightweight aggregate.

       1、烧结莫来石：采用天然优质铝矾土，通过多级均化，经1750以上高温烧结而成。具有体积密度大、质量稳定，热震稳定性好、高温蠕变值小和抗化学腐蚀性好等性能特点，是生产各种定型与不定型耐火材料、高级卫生洁具坯体、精密铸造模型等耐材制品的理想原料。

       2、煅烧莫来石：天然煅烧莫来石系列产品，采用优质煤系高岭土为原料，经高温煅烧加工而成。产品具有质地密、硬度高、膨胀系数小、耐磨性能优、热化学稳定性好等特性。主要应用于冶金、建材、化工、耐火材料、 等行业中。

       3、电熔莫来石：选用优质 莫来石原矿，经先进的工业电炉高温熔烧而成。具有膨胀均匀、热震稳定性极好、荷重软化点高、高温蠕变值小、硬度大、抗化学腐蚀性好等特点，莫来石是冶金、陶瓷、建材、化工、电力及铸造等行业的理想材料。

       用莫来石生产的高温莫来石质绝热砖具有耐高温、强度高导热系数小，节能效果显着等特点，适用于石油裂介炉、冶金热风炉、陶瓷辊道窑、隧道窑、电瓷抽屉窑、玻璃坩埚窑及各种电炉的内衬，可直接接触火焰。     

       莫来石适用于各种火焰炉工作衬，直接接触火焰(不接触熔体)，其它高温设备保温隔热，如：

       1、配制各种轻质耐火浇注料、喷涂料等。

       2、加热炉、均热炉、热处理炉、退火炉、陶瓷、耐火制品烧成炉的炉顶、炉墙。

       3、蒸汽锅炉，石油工业管式加热炉、乙烷裂解炉炉衬。

       4、各种工业炉炉门、观察孔内衬。
